Okay, I've seen so many icons with this look. I use paintshop pro9, and I'm trying to achieve that dark, look on a lot of icons I see. Unfortunately right now, I don't have one that could be an example, but I do know that qtmj_icons has that look I'm going for. thank you! but yes, I did see this and I tried following those same steps just in PSP, and some of it wasn't the same and the look I came out with wasn't that dark look :(

Oops, my bad for not reading carefully enough. I just got all excited because I LOVE that tutorial so much!

Do you have a tutorial for the icon you used in your original post? I'm sorry, but it's gorgeous! And if you made that...then isn't that the dark look you're talking about?

hha..no I dont, but I can tell you that cake_ordeath made that icon. And yes, that is the dark look I'm talking about.......that I can't seem to get in my psp! grr lol

the reason your icons probably aren't getting the look you want is the original color..it really all depends on the picture
I use psp9 and the tutorial above works fine with me :/

I have PSP as well. I just translate the tutorials. With every tutorial, no matter if it's for you program or not, it's never going to be exactly the same, you have to tinker with hit.

They both work great and very simple.
