I've been trying to cap an episode which is 55 mins using the VLC media player auto-cap function. The first time I tried, I ended up with 4,000 caps that totalled to 1.16GB in file size (as in the folder size, not the width and height). I retried and this time, I got 3,200 caps that are slightly smaller in file size at 980MB.
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong; the width and height of my caps are only 720x404, and I have seen files with 4,200 caps - with each cap being 1280x720 - and they only total up to ~250MB.
Please help!
ETA: I forgot to mention, they are all automatically saved as .png files.
ETA 2: I have changed the .png files to .jpg and the file size has been halved (yay!). But it's still rather big, sitting at 550MB. Is there any way to make that number even smaller?
ETA 3: SOLVED! Thank you for all the help! :)
