Text in Icons

Hello! I am need of some help regarding text in icons. I've googled and searched all over, but I can't find what I am looking for ( Read more... )

Which part of the text are you wanting to icon? If it's the whole thing, that's not really an image that's conducive to icon-making. That's a lot of text to try to fight into a 100x100 pixel square.

Not the whole image, but just bits of the text, like "I really am full of love..." Every time I try to make a close up icon of it, it comes out unreadable.

Can you show me an example of the end result you're looking for? I'm away from my software right now so I can't play around with it, but what I'm picturing in my head, the text is too just too big to fit well in a 100x100 square and still be readable.

I'm pretty sure I've seen it done, but I might be wrong. I can't find any icons I have like that. But, here's an example I made.

If you did the "idiots" part separately from the Batman image, yeah. Cut the speech bubble out of the original image and then scale it to fit the space.

Like, move Batman down a little so there's more empty space above his head and then put the speech bubble there.
