I've been having this problem for some time where my files in just one folder are not displaying in a correct order when saving. Here's a screencap of an example:

Most of the time they display in reverse alphabetical order and just jumble up the numbers badly. Sometimes files won't display at all when it does this. I name files by name of character and number of icon, like in the screencap the icon I'm saving is the 23rd icon of the character Jenna.

Other times it just shows the last icon I created, which is definitely annoying when I'm creating icons for more than one character rather than a set for one. Sometimes it will show a row of icons that are among the last few I created, but missing the last one.

It fixes itself if I got up a folder and then go back. Restarting did not fix the issue at all. This has been going on for months, I've definitely rebooted many times since then. It displays fine when opening files. I've also tried turning auto-arrange on and off, both settings do the same thing.

Using Photoshop CS2 and Windows 7. Thanks in advance for any help!

Edit: Seem to have fixed it now! The suggestion to select the right setting in "sort by" helped, but had to unselect "name" and reselect it and now it displays correctly.

program error: photoshop, program: photoshop
