**A Note to Mods: the tags won't work!!! :(

Step One: The base. I have this one of actress AnnaSophia Robb. Now, I wouldn't recommend doing any blurring/sharpening, because I didn't. I did, however, duplicate my base and set it to "Screen" opacity 80, to help it maintain vibrancy throughout the coloring process.

Step Two: New layer, filled with cbcda4, set to "Burn" opacity 100. This darkens up our image and gives a cool greenish tint.

Step Three: New layer, filled with 535353 set to "Screen" opacity 100. This softens the harsh greens and darkness from the previous step.

Step Four: New layer, filled with 3a5c79 set to "Subtract" opacity 50. This is the first step in recreating an "Exclusion" layer. If you have PSP or PS, feel free to skip to step six and simply set this layer to "Exclusion" opacity 50.

Step Five: Now to finish creating our mock "Exclusion" layer! Duplicate your "Subtract" layer and change the mode to "Screen" with no difference in opacity. Duplicate the "Screen" layer so you now have three blue layers - two set to "Screen" and one set to "Subtract". This adds a neat blueish tint and keeps the icon light-ish while not being blinding.

Step Six: New layer, filled with 918891 set to "Burn" opacity 40. This adds some more contrast.

Step Seven: Lastly I added some text. I used the font "Garamond Italic", size 19, font color white. I put "Bury Me" on one layer and "Break Me Down" on another, then I applied Gaussian Blur to each layer, amount 2.0.

That's it! I'd love to see your results; please comment if you like! :)
