I've got a quick question

I was wondering if someone can help me get my icon to look like the ones below (style wise). Like, how can I get my icon to be shaped like the last two icons or how I can get the sides of my icon or be a solid color (like the first one)

 
 

I use Photoshop CS4. Thanks in advance :)
