Help!

Hello everyone! I am really hoping someone may have suggestions for me. I am an experienced graphics maker, i am very familiar with Photoshop and Image ready 7.0 and have made hundreds of animated icons...

I found this gif:

Of course i want it an icon so i open it in image ready and crop it to 100x100px.....It was still too large so i deleted frames and even made it smaller....What i want to know is, is there anyway to make it a smaller file size for what lj requires without deleting a ton of the frames and making it virtually useless?

Also the image has a tween on it...it's already there when you open it is there a way to remove it and put my own?

Thank you to anyone who can help.
Vinnie
