I realize this is a pretty amateur question, but I'm getting frustrated and there has to be a better way to do this. (I also realize this is a web-related comm, not print, but IDK where I should be asking this)

How do I make sure what I see on screen is what prints? It's getting tiresome to keep wasting paper. I tried calibrating my monitor following this tutorial, but it seems to be for the web only.

I know there will always be a bit of a difference between RGB monitors and CMYK print, but there has to be some way to bridge the gap...right?

oh, right, I'm using the extremely ancient original CS version of Photoshop, an HP Photosmart Pro printer, and a PC

program: photoshop, basics: colour theory
