Photoshop Coloring help?

Ok im a photoshop cs2 user and when i come to editing a picture on photoshop and i save it as a .png it looses it's color. Is there any way i can fix this?
i have a windows xp vista

Any help is appreciated.

EDIT:: like for instance the photoshop screen cap has the background blue standing out and the other doesn't. I'm being picky sorry :|
i saved it by going to file--->save as. .png
