Mod Post: Coloring Help; Major Rule Change

Jan 29, 2009 10:26

Hi gang,

The launch of coloring_help has proven to be hugely successful. Thanks to aida_rose and her co-mod, the community has achieved two goals: one, it gets curious graphic-makers the help they need, and two, it cleans up icon_tutorial, leaving us better able to assist in the myriad of more specific questions, problems, answers, and tutorials for which we were founded ( Read more... )

I love how icon_tutorial is run and the sub-communities/affliate type communities that have been made; by having things seperate it makes it a lot easier to find things, especially when that one community is the source for that one thing rather than it all being bundled in a bit of a mess :) Its great.

Thanks. It's been an evolving process, really; way back in 2004 everything fit here under one umbrella but as times change, needs change and we try to do what we can to keep up. :)

I think this comm has proven that change can sometimes be good :) I think it can be helpful to members to have, for example coloring_help, just that one place; especially as a lot of the time something can just be one quick question and answer to find something, especially if its just that bit reguarding one bit of a colour rather than a whole tutorial sometimes (especially for people who want to experiment and need just a small pinch of help)

great

I must admmit that I don't often peek into tutorials, but when I do and see only many numbers and only that style: "selective coloring: [insert 10 numbers]" , I close it imediately, not even a pic to see what you are even changing at the moment...
though there are a lot of cool tuts on here too ^.^

Thank you so much for this! I know myself that when there are just a bunch of numbers I backspace because I've no use for the tutorial.

You guys do an awesome job here and it's very much appreciated. I've learnt a lot going through the tags and memories since I started using PSCS2 back in the beginning of Dec.
