Anyone else shocked that we're more than half way through 2012 already? INSANE. This kind of post was probably better suited for July but w/e w/e. I thought we could some sort of "mid" year icon survey...type thing. Everything applies to 2012 only, of course.

Could you guestimate how many icons you've made so far? I've "officially" only posted 170 icons (so tiny ;__;) but including icons I made for flash challenges that I didn't end up liking enough to post, or icons I haven't posted yet and just icons in general I deleted I'd say it'd be closer to the 250/275 range.

Most iconned fandom so far? This entire year has been summed up in flash challenges, or lims, or request icons because I've done so many oneoff icons, or just a couple for a bunch of different fandoms. Two of my favorite icons posted above are for fandoms I don't even watch! I think it'd be Leverage for the icon battle here simply because I made so many variations.

Any new fandoms you started iconning? A lot, curse you/bless you flash challenges. Intentionaly though, Leverage and Teen Wolf!

Any new techniques you've picked up, or a skill you feel you've ~mastered? I'm FAR from mastering it but I've been really happy with my text this year! 4/12 icons with text is UNHEARD OF for me! Lately I've been playing with muted/grungy/less glowy icons but idk if it's ~for me. Oh and I also made my first texture set if that counts!

Any fonts/textures/etc you've used and abused? Futura, basically. Textures, none that really come to mind. I've gotten sort of overwhelmed with my texture folder (yet I keep downloading packs) so I've taken to just making my own light sources within the icons.

Do you have any "goals" for the rest of the year as far as iconning goes?
POST MORE for starters! Stick to claims (so so so so so bad omg it's a good thing people don't get fined for falling through with their claims or I'd be in debt rn). Use text more! Get the hang of monochromatic icons. Really though, it's mostly just post more lol.

Stupid gorgeous bright colors and #1 and #3 and Parker #12.

I have so much pride in the Parker icon, I'm not even going to front. At first glance it was my least favorite cap to work with in the battle but it ended up being my favorite icon.

LOL Thank you :3 I feel like that's all thanks to the original cap though so I only get particial credit. :c Like, I tried blue with the other icon I submitted and I just see smurfsmurfsmurf. I SHALL KEEP TRYING!

I can't say enough great things about #1. That Alcatraz icon, too, I have so many icons of that cap saved and now I'm adding another one. You're the first person I've seen to do away with the pink wall! Very brave, since the temptation to utilize it, at least for me, is really strong.

Awwww :3 That Alcatraz icon is one of the two (the other being the 9th icon) I mention that I love the outcome but hate that I can't even use the icon since I don't watch the show haha. That was my first icon after MONTHS of not iconninng and just eeeeee, it brought me back~

:DDDD Ngl, seeing them paired up like this (and my player profile at IQ) I wonder why I even CARE about trying muted or grungy icons. COLORS ARE SO PRETTYYYYY. I've always looked up to your work so to this day I still get little flutters~ when you compliment anything :3 /nerd
