Happy New Year,
icon_talk!
As promised, it's time for our second round of Ask the Maker! Here you'll get the chance to ask icon makers who sign up, questions about their icons/graphics. You can ask for tutorials, guides/walk through, or simply ask a question regarding their work so the makers can compile a Q&A post, with the answers to all the questions

I would love a tutorial on one of your icons, but I'm having a really, really hard time deciding on which one I should pick, so I decided to let you decide which one(s) you want to show us! I would love it if you picked one icon or more that you yourself feel proud of, perhaps icons where the outcome surprised you (in a good way), where you used a technique that you don't use as often, icons that stand out to you in a way, where the coloring just worked, icons you are proud of, that sort of thing :o)
I'm also wondering about how you go about making your icons so rich, soft, glowing, yet defined and perfectly sharpened? All your icons have this quality to them, so I don't really have one example. But even icons from shows like TSCC, Buffy/Angel and earlier seasons of Greys Anatomy (all shows with grainy and to a certain degree low quality caps) look so soft and glowing. Any advice or tips on this would be wonderful.
Also, I would love to hear your thoughts on how you approach composition/cropping. I've asked several other here this same questions, because I'm fascinated by how different people approach this and how they think, so I hope you don't mind me asking you too.
Do you have any "rules" for how you go about composing/cropping an icon, or is each icon made completely by accident? Do the coloring you choose decide how you crop/compose (if you color before cropping)? Basically whatever you have to say about cropping/composing, what you consider does and don'ts, what kind of composition appeals to you the most and so on.
Other than that I'll add my +1 to what others have asked you here. :o)
Thanks so much for your time!
