Q: may I know how's the process when you make icons? Do you brainstorming and prepare the concept first?
what kind of effect you use for simple coloring? (I mean like is it selective coloring, or channel mixer, like that :D)

then I would like tuto/how I can get this effect/coloring from these icons:

I'm willing to do Q&As and tutorials, but I'm not sure how helpful my tutorials are. I'm more comfortable with Q&As. :)

Oh a lil forewarning, I work in PS6, so my terminology and perhaps even the applicability of my "help" might not work across the board. : (

thank you so much! i think i can work with this. i do have 2 questions though

1. where do you get your screencaps? site?
2. how do i cut out the background. i really suck at that and dont have a clue how to use a layer mask.

plus...i LOVE the pink background. it suits penny. she is girly and i like pink. lol. also i LOVE how you can make the colors pop with just what is in the image itself and without selective coloring! i can probably do this in PS and PSP. i prefer my PSP which has no selective coloring.
