Advice please?

I need some advice...I run an icon community and there was this person, who I accepted as a member, she's friendly, but she suddenly disappeared for like almost 6 months and now she is back and I asked her if she was still interested in posting at my community, and she said, there was a community she liked a bit better than mine and she would see if she got a chance to post over there, but if she wouldn't get the chance she would be happy to post at my community.
Now I'm not sure what to tell her. Was it harsh of her to say that? Or not?
