I CANT LIE TO YOU. IM SORRY. ITF IS NOT A LIGHTHEARTED SHOW. That said. ITS SO DAMN WORTHY IT. It some of the best tv I've seen- I dont' want to create way too many expectation but it's GOOD. It is quite dark and serious and sad (and possibly triggering for some) but ITS AMAZING AT IT.
So I don't really know what to tell you because ID LOVE to talk it with you, but yeah, it is sad (it does deal a lot with mental health and a lot of rl issues) IDK, it's not a series you watch just to pass the time, it gets to you. But in a good way I believe. I hope you dare to give it a try because everybody should give it a try (in any case, the first series is only 3 episodes...(?).
