From Judge tez_na_nox : While I like Superman, this one just seems like it could have been done a whole lot better than what it was done.
From Judge smugglers_prize : While I like the setup, Superman with the text across it like that, it looks slightly overly sharpened, and the laser beams are kind of distracting. Also, I think at this point, you need a little creativity with text, instead of just using the theme name.
From Judge nocturnelorelei : The text, though still readable, is still slightly hard to read. The light texture used seems out of place, like light beams shot at Superman...it looks rather odd.
From Judge threeleaf : I have no idea about your interpretation for this theme.
From Judge whiteplums : This is a good, simple and clean icon. I like the vivid shades of red and blue and how the text can stand alone and still be easily read.
From 5_09am : Usually in icon speaking terms, centering an image is never a good idea. It just gives for lack of space to work with, and often leaves an icon cluttered. I love the contrast in your icon though, and apart from the fact you centered it, it's quite nice. I don't really like how some of the text is hard to read though, and for your icon, it would look so much better with a border.
From Judge plafulmispeling : I loved the colours and text in this icon and I thought they worked very well together. I suppose there's more to be desired on the creativity front, but it's a very strong entry.
From Judge tez_na_nox : The color scheme is nice, but, I just find it less appealing.
From Judge smugglers_prize : While I love the image, the coloring makes it fade too much, the art doesn't stand out quite as much as it should. It looks too dull. And the text of fantasy sort of overlaps with the drawing in that one spot, where it's erased from the wing in the other spot. It just makes it look a little messy.
From Judge nocturnelorelei : The only slight problem I had with this submission is my inability to figure out what I was looking, and the text 'fantasy' is a bit light. Otherwise, it's a lovely submission.
From Judge threeleaf : Just I don't like too much the colour scheme.
From Judge whiteplums : I like the cropping, but the image doesn't stand out and just seemingly fades into the background.
From 5_09am : Your icon is very...flat. Working with a black and white image is never that easy, but it IS possible to prevent it from looking flat. The gradient makes you feel like ignoring the bottom half, since it's really dark in comparison. Because you chose a black and white image, you should have gone through all stops to make it look amazing, whether it be adding lots of textures/brushes/light effects, or plain just colouring in the image. I'm also not really fond of the 'flight of' text, it just seems...out of place? I like the top of the icon though.
From Judge plafulmisepling : I don't care for the coluring, It looks like a gradient was simply slapped on without much thought. The text was nice and flowed with the subject matter and was also visually appealing, but I just don't like hte overall colour of the icon.
From Judge tez_na_nox : LOVE IT. The color scheme is beautiful, the fallen angel thing is genius, and it all flows smoothly together in my opinion.
From Judge smugglers_prize : This is wonderful work, the blending and coloring, use of textures, text. Everything looks like it was well thought out. I couldn't find anything I didn't like.
From Judge nocturnelorelei : While the text works, what really bothers me about this submission is that the duplication of Yue's face doesn't seem smooth, as does the images of Yue used in general seem harsh. The idea, though, is wonderful.

From Judge whiteplums : I like the circle motif you have going on, but the "grungy" bottom doesn't fit in with the rest of the icon, making it feel disjointed.
