Fellow Graphic Makers

For anyone who has a personal icon journal..........I am not sure if you know or not but today a friend of mine brought it to my attention that iconscraper is hotlinking images....Not sure if this means anything to you or not but thought i would let you know. It seems they are googling and getting icons and reposting them in their own journal..

... that's mean... they shouldn't hotlink icons like that.

(i wonder if their form of credit is relinking people back to the original post)....

yes, thank you, some of my icons were over there. I have reported them to LJ. Let's see if they do anything about it.

You can block the picture feed from taking graphics from your journal with the Admin Console.

For personal journals type set latest_optout yes in the box.

For a community the maintainer can type set "for" CommunityName latest_optout yes.

It's not about being a noob, believe me. For some reason lj always likes to make information like this hard to find. If you don't know where to look you don't know how to find it. Thankfully someone pointed it out to me earlier so I'm happy to pass on the information. :)

exactly, I would have never know that I could opt out of the feed, unless I made a report. Now, I am off that list. :D
