I'm a-movin out!!! Potentially...
Hello...well, to make a long story short, my mom and I, after an appointment with my psychologist, went down to a (pretty decent.) neighborhood....She led a very shocked and confused me into the front office, we walked up to the front desk....She asked the lady behind it: "Do you have anything for rent?"
What the heck?
Anyway, I've been approved to move into a 2 bedroom place...we had to use both my mom's and my income, because even with my income switching over to Social Security next year, I needed a bit more to register. The lady (named Kelly) said we could use both of our incomes. Mom also said that Dad and she can supplement me.
Well, a few days later, Mom and I drove up to the Housing Authority, filled out a little postcard, turned it in to the lady behind the front desk....Now we'll see if they actually pick me; their system's run like a lottery. They'll only pick four (?) people out of hundreds. (Housing Authority handles section 8.)
Later on, I'm going to apply for SNAP. Mom went to their site...yes, I qualify with my income.
Anyway...Christmas went OK. Mom mostly gave me things for my new place. (Toaster, a 4-cup coffee-maker.) Dad...I can't remember what he got me. I'll look later.
I've already got dishes (Mom's going to give me hers. She's going to get new sets.), pots and pans, silverware, other odds and ends. (I've been to Soap.com, therefore, I now have Dawn, trash bags, Ziploc bags.) Mom's letting me take all of our cans of soup, which I mostly decided to buy, since they were B1G1 free. I'd brought all our coupons, too. She put all this in a box already.
All I need is a wireless router, loveseat, (Mom wants to give me our old, worn-out loveseat....Well, last I heard, she was toying with the idea.) desk, some other essentials that I can't remember right now.
I've got an old rocker-recliner. (Very old, creaky.) Plus, I have Dad's old dresser that he has absolutely no room for, my cellphone...though, I don't like the plan. I'm thinking of setting up magicJACK, using my cell for emergencies, when I'm out at the store...etc.
By the way, I got a $25.00 iTunes gift card. I've discovered Cascada's other tracks.
Whatever happened to them?
