*He's been here for a few days and Jacob's finally gotten around to looking over the journals. Well, for more than a few minutes at a time, at least. He might as well try out making an entry while he's at it!*
So, um, hi. My name's Jacob--oh, I guess it'll sign that on the end, huh? Or do I have to do that? Well I guess I'll find out, it doesn't make much sense to let you speak into the book and then still make you sign it with a pen. Or a quill, or whatever this thing is. Right, anyway, I'm Jacob and I'm new here. Its kind of an interesting place you've got here, but I can't say I'd like to spend much time here. Apparently I don't really have a choice, I can't imagine everyone would still be here if they could leave, but then maybe you all just don't know the right places to look. Not that I mean to insult anyone! Its just...sometimes things like that are tricky. Or hidden. Or maybe it doesn't exist after all, but I find that pretty hard to believe. Up there near "your universe doesn't exist" on the scale of hard to believe. Which a lot of this place is.
*He pauses, shaking his head.*
Okay, I just wanted to say hi and maybe get to know some of you if we're gonna be stuck here together. So hi.
*Jacob pauses, moving to end the transmission then stops.*
Oh! Anybody know why the crows here are so cold-shouldered? Winged. Whatever. Are they always like that or do they just not like newbies moving in? I'd hate to offend anyone because I couldn't help entering their territory.
*Yes, he is concerned about pissing off the birds. Or the crows, at least.*
