my thoughts are worth TWO pennies
first and foremost, BETH IS SO AWESOME AND PICKS OUT FANTASTIC BIRTHDAY GIFTS! I personally enjoy receiving gifts late, even if that's by accident, because then the fun doesn't end...hint, hint. :) But really, Beth, thank you very much. It gave me a reason to smile at one in the morning!
and so secondly that it's almost thirdly.... in the Bible there is a story about a woman who loses a coin and up-ends her entire house until she finds it again. When she does find it, she rejoices and praises God. It's actually referred to as a parable, but I like to think of it as a foreshadowing of my life. Specifically this evening. It served both as a prediction and as an analogy, in fact...to the piece of homemade cookie dough that fell off my spoon and landed in such a remote space on the floor beneath my computer desk that I definitely broke the five second rule to retrieve it AND plop it in my mouth. I think I also broke the five minute rule.
But there WAS rejoicing and praising God. :)
