Well, this weekend has been quite an interesting one. It seems like the last two and a half days have lasted a lifetime, and I'm not quite sure why but hey, why complain.
Friday consisted mainly of hiding in a practice room with lots of band music and a bag of ruffles (which, idiodically enough, we are now in debt to Munroe for). I ended up staying after going through dusty shelves and attempting to make sense of the nonsensical aka the band music organizing system. I left eventually, after having a rather detailed discussion with the Trombone sectional people (amazingly enough I think I accomplishmed more then they did) until my mom came to pick me up. (She was home, by a miraculous turn of events.. or because my brother was sick, same difference.)
Later that night was our Flute Choir sleepover. Quality as usual. Red Eye is still good seeing the third time - nothing like a homicidal Cillian Murphy to get a party going - while the clips of Human Giant made it nearly impossible to breath, me and Karina were laughing so hard. I may have lost a few braincells.
Saturday morning we got up unpleasantly early, so I opted to skip the first few shows of the Drama Festival to catch up on my sleep. I woke up at 1, which gave me approximately 10 minutes to make myself presentable to get down to the school. No worries, I made it in record time to see The Babysitter. Very creepy. And of course there was the f-bomb thrown in for good measure. Super.
Later that night me and Suzie spent some quality time in Borders being the freeloading music freaks we are. Why buy Spin when you can just read the best bits in the cafe for free. A boy sat across the room from us, and then moved closer to the table in back of us, where I could see he was studying a 'Guide to Picking the Right College for YOU,' a book which he was partly holding down with his bright purple cast covered arm. I felt bad for him on various levels.
Today I went to Melissa's Graduation party and had a better time than expected. Lots of cake, Pirates of the Carribean and ghost stories. Then me and Suzie went to my house to watch The Science of Sleep. A slow sort of movie but still an interesting one, for a few reasons. First of all, the main character looked like this:
and secondly, I could relate to both him and his.. friend/crush/girlfriend. They couldn't quite understand each other, only that they were meant to be together. Deep huh? (-minus the Gael García Bernal fangirling of course)
And so that concluded my weekend. I still haven't wrote about Sunday's concert, but I will sometime in the near future. It's safe to say that it definitely was one of my better, if not the best, that I've been to.
But for now, toodles. :)
