"As far as Bill Jack Harlow [I] is concerned, I think the whole world is better off because we invaded Iraq."
These are the words of an alternate delegate at the Republican National Convention. The whole world? Really? What about the thousands, probably tens or hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis who have been murdered as a result of this war? What about their loved ones. What about the refugees of Fallujah who have had their city destroyed? Are they really better off? What about Americans? Are we better off now that our unprovoked attack has generated so much hatred for America?
Perhaps this man is so blind that he cannot see the world. Perhaps the world to him is the corporate elite, the arms dealers. Perhaps what he intended to say was that his world is better off because of the invasion of Iraq.
All I can do is shake my head in disgust.
