it's been a while since i've said much of anything at all 'round this neck o' the woods. i think i much prefer getting so caught up in things that you don't quite know what to say, rather than saying a whole lot about nothing much.
the norton simon "gallery attendant" position has really grown on me. besides the obviously wonderful luxury of getting to see ronald at work every day, i've realized a few things about some particular artists/works...
* i'm not really one for degas' paintings, but i love his sculptures.
* although you cannot tell by
THIS image so much, the peekaboo gaze of Pietro Rotari's Young Girl Writing a Love Letter is actually quite naughty in person- and i LOVE it!
* i'm drawn to portraits. especially Paul Cezanne's
Portrait of Uncle Dominique. His palette knife technique makes this one so thick and chunky that i want to lick it up.

and in other news, ronald and i have recently been blessed with an early wedding gift:
also, we're STILL currently seeking an apartment in the Eagle Rock/Pasadena area...being that our new goal is to live as close to our lovely friends, Ashod and Erin, as possible. it's good to have friendly neighbors. and even better to have SEXY friendly neighbors.
;)
and in super-duperly exciting news, ronald and i are gonna be in a band together- maybe even 2 bands! muy delicioso!
