i've just looked up one if the theorists i'm attempting to study on Wikipedia adn thought i'd share this insight with you all:
[Peter] Unger would probably acknowledge that much of his writing is far from "common sense". He has written a defense of profound philosophical skepticism, and claims that many philosophical questions cannot be definitively answered. In the field of applied ethics, he argues that common sense morality supports the view that one has a moral duty to make large donations to life-saving charities such as Oxfam if one can, and even if one has to beg, borrow or steal in the process. Unger, moreover, has also used the paradox of the heap to argue that he (along with all other people and many-atomed things) does not exist.
