Genesis report pt 1
Ok, been playing through some Genesis games. Here's the first report:
Bare Knuckle 3 (Japanese Streets of Rage 3):
Oh My God... Let me know if you want to try this, you can kind of see where Sega of America would want to clean some stuff up a little. The first midboss is the most flaming character I've ever seen in a videogame. We're talking beyond Chou Anki level gay. Otherwise, the game is better than the us version. Somewhat easier and more balanced. All the characters have much better colors, back to their streets of rage 2 levels. It seems a bit faster too, and the special meter charges a bit quicker. Things also have different names. Oh yeah, and all the female baddies are wearing much less.
Alien Soldier:
A Treasure game released only in europe. Only boss battles, that's it.
Mutant League Football:
God why doesn't EA bring this back? This was such a fun series, and considering they milk every franchise these days, they should bring back something fun.
NHL 94:
Looks like crap compared to what's out now, but still the most fun hockey game ever created.
Panorama Cotton:
It's space harrier, with a witch on a broom. And magic. And it makes even less sense than space harrier, which is quite an achievement. I played up intil I had to mow down a bunch of My Little Ponies with fireballs.
Rise of the Robots:
I was bored, and have a poor memory.
