First Entry
Well here goes, I don't usually share much of my life on the internet, but I thought I should give some background just for the sake of any readers who might stop by here. I'm 36 this year and a devoted husband and father of 5 beautiful children. I work in the IT world in real life and then I escape into my art in my free time (don't have a lot of that). I have only really been doing art for about 6 months. My Mother and Sister are both artists so I guess it's in the gene pool. Now I want to do everything and anything with drawing. I'm a kid at heart and love it when I get to be a big kid with my kids. I'm an unabashed fan of Anime and Manga and pretty much love everything about the genre. I hope I can stay young at heart forever.
So that's some background. I want to use this journal mainly to chronical my artwork ideas and keep track of my progress. Guess I can dive in by listing what I am working on:
1. A full color drawing of dolphins for a friend. I will be using Prismacolor colored pencils.
2. A full color portrait of another friend's daughter (my first commission :). Also in colored pencil.
