So, recently I've posted my first, real, finished fanfic piece and I have to say it feels really really good because I am the master of the unfinished story. Oh, I can come up with a story and the first three lines but after that...well after that it seems harder to string a coherent plot together. It took me FOREVER to finish the story "A Sorta Fairytale". I slaved over the stupid story for a looooonnnggg time until finally I'd read it so much that I couldnt stand it. So I just sorta posted it and apparently it was finished. So here's the point of this post. I think that its sometimes hard to write fic because you desensitize yourself to your own work. You don't feel that sense of awe when your reading your own work like you do when you read other peoples. You never say "Man this story is so good" about your own work...at least I don't. And thats why I think fic is so definite, either your a good writer or a bad writer and theres hardly any in between. Bad writers have an idea just like good writers but bad writers just want to get the words out and when they're there they're happy but good writers have an idea and arent happy until the words are more than just...words.
Okay, that felt good. Now off to do homework...
