[ accidental video ]
[A solid thump jostles the device on, flashing a view of trees: that thump was the device's owner jumping down the last few steps of a ladder leading down out of the forest. He's moving fast and has the device in a pocket, so the images it sends are a series of confused flickers of blue sky, blond hair, green leaves, something sparkling, and--
--shadows; something with too many legs and too many eyes, something far too big to have that many legs and that many eyes.
The spider's latest victim turns to run again, and for a moment the device gets a clear view. He's emerged from the forest only to be trapped up against the lake.
But when he speaks, he doesn't sound the least bit panicked.]
I suggest you stay with spinning webs next time.
[There's a muted splash as he backs into the water, and the device shuts off again.]
[OOC: Forward-dated a few hours to not long before sunset, so that other characters can enjoy spider attacks as well. All replies will be post-spider-beatdown. Action is also welcome if anyone wants to rush to the scene to try to help take on the Tickler, but by the time anyone gets there he'll have been driven off.]
