We really do find resonance in the most unexpected places.
I found mine while re-visiting a Shoujo manja I read as a secondary school kid...
Hanazakari no kimitachi e
I still love it now... though I find its ending a little irritating...lol...
Really... doing anything, but especially the arts (i.e. music, art, dance, food etc), is not a one way street...
It's not merely about our imposing or expressing our feelings... it's also about the art form feeding back to us as we allow our feelings to flow into it.
I've felt it distinctly once... when I was playing "Over the Rainbow". I poured my feeligs into that piece and found that it replied... as I was translating my feelings into musical nuances, I felt that the music was also speaking to me...and I thought I understood a little bit of what the music or more accurately perhaps the composer was trying to express.
At that moment, I really felt and still feel strongly that great art is not simply an expression, it is a conversation.
Maybe that's why I love nature so much... because it seems to harmonise with my feelings so well, making me feel like we are but different expressions of the same being.
