Ciao! Ah, lets see, my week in review I suppose since it is now the weekend. Thrusday? the weekend? Yes every week is a three day week end. Last weekend was spent going to Hadrian's villa on friday, sat was le notte bianco. Le Notte Bianco would have been cool had the crowds not been so overwhelming I couldn't stand to stay. Circe de Sole(i have no idea how to really spell it) had a free show on the spanish steps. The glimpes I got were really amazing. Sunday we were supposed to go to Porta Portese, but everyone (besides a few of us) stayed out till like 6am. Even some old lady who came into the shelter told me about what a great night she had. Porta Portese is an outdoor market that sells like everything. I guess we are going to try and make it there this weekend. It is kind of a hike from the apartment, but from what I've heard(as long as you stay away from the pickpockets) well worth it. We are going to try and go again this sunday, but I have found some churchs that say english mass and I would like to go there too, plus i volunteer at 2, so its going to be a little crazy getting everything worked out. Tomorrow I was thinking about going to Ostia Antica but I don't think I should because my roommate Rachel wants to come to and she has to go somewhere for a class tomorrow, so we may go on saturday. Which leaves me with nothing to do tomorrow. I may go to the zoo, other than that I have few ideas. A bunch of my friends like Kelly are heading up on a trip to the Alban Hills tomorrow which will leave me mostly by myself. Seems as though boredom should be scantly found here, but tomorrow is looking awful daunting. Today I had an intense tour of the Forum, and part of the Imperial Forum. My history and art history classes I have a slight problem with, I either remember nothing about a topic, or I remember it all, and either way it makes for class to be hell. Hellishly boring if I know it already and hellishly awkward if i can't remember, because apparently as a classics major I am supposed to remember everything. why don't you ask the freaking art history majors? shouldn't they know? But it is amazingly interesting nonetheless, which I suppose doesn't make a lot of sense but hey not much does make a lot of sense here. Like the buses, I try and I try but I have yet to figure out the bus system. I get on a bus all confident and end up in the complete wrong area. It is getting better, there is a 492 which takes me where I want to go, but is so irregular that you have to almost always wait an hour for it. Otherwise I can take the 30 or the 130 make my way to the subway and from there head back to school or the apartment. Seems as though having a connection/ different modes of transit seem all too complicated for just getting around a city.
After this I will head on over to Largo Argentina where I have been volunteering and hang out there till like 7. Christina's last day is monday, she has to go back to germany since university will start up again for her soon. It will be sad to see her go, she always makes things more interesting. Next weekend(I think) I am going to naples, pompeii and a couple other places. It should be the most tiring weekend of my life, but at the same time, probably the most interesting. Varo lavorare sine soldi.
