Question about LJ clients and entries

This is kind of random, but I noticed that there are lj clients that you can use to post entries. I'm not sure why I never noticed it before, but with the new lj changes it was right there, begging for me to click on it with other ways to post link. Of course, I did.

I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with any of the lj clients? Do people use them? Advantages? Disadvantages?

It doesn't seem worth it to me, but perhaps I'm wrong.
