I should have gone to bed an hour ago.
I have all my Vegas pictures uploaded but I'm not up for posting them ALL just yet.
Ugh, why do I have to work tomorrow? Why don't I ever seem to have time to paint? How did I miss the Circa Survive show? How much do you bet I get a ticket for where I'm parked tonight?
I have lost 18 pounds. I only gained two on vacation, probably from drinking so much alcohol. I was mainly vegetarian the whole time, because there were so many places that were NOT vegan friendly. Mike remained vegetarian, too. I was proud of him, I've never asked him to do it. He is just jumping on board to support me. He says he loves cheese too much to give it up, even though I tell him it has a lot of pus in it. Pus pus pus. It doesn't change his opinion of it just yet.
He told me today that he wants to take the exam for the Rochester police department. He passed in 2001 but was not accepted into the training program because he was a young white male. 2007 was the last year that affirmative action was involved, so this January he can try again based on his merits alone.
I support his decision completely, but I have a feeling it is because I don't realize just how much we will have to sacrifice. If we are planning on trying to conceive starting next April, that could make things difficult. He'll likely be on night rounds for the first few years. So we'll see if this all pans out. I'm not one to worry because I live in a constant state of denial.
