There's something about the way he says nothing during a meal that unnerves Sooyoung to no end. It's not that she's big on making conversation with him or anything like that, but it'd be nice if he said "Hello" once in awhile without her having to say it first (and only when she has a big bowl of steaming ramen in front of her). Sooyoung thinks that Changmin is every bit unfair, because he's able to leave her hungry (and cold and angry) since he's taken all the food without much as saying a word.
"Hey, that's mine." She says one day, pulling a slightly opened wrapped sandwich from his hands and straight to her mouth. Sooyoung grins evilly, munching deliberately in front of him and grinning. "You know, you shouldn't eat other people's food. It's disrespectful and uncalled for."
She figures he'd say something at least. Maybe make a sound of discontent or tap his foot impatiently. But he did neither and instead brushed off crumbs hanging from her lips. He grinned when her smile dropped and she stood motionless staring at him as he shrugged and grabbed the last piece of sandwich left in her hand.
"Hello Sooyoung." He says as he turned away, plucking the bread into his mouth and grinning. "This is mine."
There's something about the way he says one thing during a meal that unnerves Sooyoung to no end. And it's not that she's big on making conversation or anything like that, but the shivers that shook her from that point when he spoke until he walked away that brought her to submission.
Sooyoung thinks that Changmin is every bit unfair, because he could say nothing and something and still make her feel hungry (and warm and happy) all the same.

Yuri tried not to act so smug when she heard him say that he once thought she was the prettiest one of all nine girls of her group. She tried not to look like it mattered when he would greet her with a smile and small wave once in a while during his walk to practice. She even tried not to try so hard to look good (with the make-up and hair, even if there's no reason to dress up) when she steps into the building, looking fresh and beautiful and sexy, and he'd be there sipping a coffee in the lobby every morning.
It doesn't matter if he sometimes doesn't notice that she's been sitting next to him in the practice room for over an hour. It doesn't faze her when he tells every new female trainee that they're the "prettiest one" and pats them on the head. It doesn't matter if he sometimes stops by their practice room because he wanted to ask Sooyoung for food, or Jessica for money, or Seohyun for notes. It doesn't matter if sometimes he stays a bit longer to try to talk to Yoona but always ends up with nothing to say.
"Hi, oppa! Want a Pocky?" She'd say to save him from his silence and he'd laugh while taking one and smiling.
"Thanks, Yuri." He'd say every time. Thanks for saving me from my embarrassment, Yuri. And she'll wink and nudge him with her elbow and laugh; and then tomorrow, she'll try hard not break her heart a little more.
Yuri tried hard everyday because Shim Changmin is special and she likes him just a little too much to bother to deny it.

Changmin disappears from her sight just as fast as they fall in love. It's supposed to be routine now - this appearing then disappearing business - but no matter how many times she reassures him ("It's okay. No… no, I don't mind if we can't see each other tonight."), she's still not used to it. Perhaps because she wants him here - with her all the time; like how it's supposed to be in those fairytales her mom used to tell her as a child.
But this isn't a fairytale and she's never been the type who played princess (and she's thankful that he's never actually called her that). So she clenches her fists, trying hard not to cry (because he wouldn't want that, and he'll worry) but then again, she can't help it if the tears fall - and then there it is, that feeling again.
She bites her lower lip when he pulls away and put his forehead against hers. He whispers her name, and - It's his promise, she thinks.
She relaxes, and runs a thumb on her ring finger, feeling the words on his lips and on hers.
My Yoona.
Author's Notes: I had the idea of writing Changmin/Sooyoung from
bamthegreat because she's the one who I see write this pairing the most in
kpop_het. Changmin/Yuri is just something I wanted to throw in because I think they'd look great too. And Changmin/Yoona is... well, my OTP and I always write them whenever I have Changmin or Yoona involved so...
I have a soft spot for pairings like these that don't get enough attention. Anyway, enjoy!
