SKE48 is...good :D
Alright..so, I just finished watching SKE48 Team S's 2nd stage, Te wo Tsunaginagara and I decided to do a review of it like my K5 one. My thoughts as I go along. Any song in bold was one I really liked.
1. Bokura no Kaze -
Tamborines! SKE48 is VERY energetic. Insanely energetic. I love it. And the dance for this song is cute! By far my favorite song of the stage.
2. Mango No.2 -
I'm not into this sort of music..but the twist they put to this song is really catchy!
3. Te wo Tsunaginagara -
Not really feeling this song, but it's not horrible. Pretty cute. I like the part of their outfits where it looks like they have underwear with words on the band.
4. Chime wa LOVE SONG -
Glow in the dark outfits! This one is better than the previous song, but not a favorite of mine. The girl that looks like Natsuyaki Miyabi (from Berryz Koubou) is freakin me out a bit. Oh and, AKIII <3
MC - I love their MC intros! I noticed they go from left to right instead of right to left like AKB48. Matsui Jurina has a weird bellybutton. Matsui Rena breaking into tears while laughing on stage was so cuuuuute. Nakanishi Yuka's female fan in the audience was LOUD. Pipipipipipipipipipipipipipi dayo! Pipi...I mean Deguchi Aki is awesome. <3 SKE48's mascot is Kanakana? :D She's my favorite SKE48 member, for obvious reasons.. *COUGHshelooksandtalkssortalikeNaruCOUGH* LOL at the audience making fun of Shinkai Rina's voice (which BTW bugs the CRAP OUT OF ME. Her voice is fucking scary and it's like 100 times worse than Kasai Tomomi's). Mori Sayuki and Takai Tsukina are ADORABLE.
5. Glory Days (Kuwabara Mizuki, Matsui Jurina, Nakanishi Yuka) -
This is a nice feel-good song. I'm not so sure about the outfits, though. XD Poor Mizuki is outshined like CRAZY by Jurina and Yuka. The backdancers are win!
6. Kono Mune no Barcode (Ono Haruka, Deguchi Aki, Takada Shiori) -
OH MY GOD, AKI. I didn't really like this song when I heard the radio rip, but live totally saved it. These girls can sing. The outfits look better than they did in pictures, too. The woooah's and ooooh's at the end are amazingly beautiful.
7. Wimbledon he Tsuretette (Mori Sayuki, Takai Tsukina, Yagami Kumi) -
A song about tennis? Maybe not..more like Tenshi no Shippo. XD It's cute..but I'm not too into it.
8. Ame no Pianist (Yamashita Moe, Matsui Rena, Matsushita Yui) -
Woah. I'm liking this semi-techno feel. And the outfits have a Junjou Shugi meets Kuroi Tenshi look to them. The arm move like they were playing piano made me laugh though. XD
9. Choco no Yukue (Hirata Rikako, Oya Masana, Hiramatsu Kanako, Shinkai Rina) -
Holy crap Kanako's gestures are even like Naru, but she can dance a lot better. I...don't really like this song. A bit too weird-cute. I'm not sure I really get it. The dancing is kinda cute. And the fact that one of the girls has different boots is weird, I don't like it.
10. Innocence -
This is...weird. I am loving the solo lines. They really show off the vocal skills of the whole group. Outfits are kinda plain, but cute.
11. Romance Rocket -
Very 80's from the start. The traditional Japanese sounding chorus made it a bit more interesting, but I still find myself a bit bored. The "OH YEAH" in the background was kinda grating after the first few times I heard it. :\
12. Koi no Keikou to Taisaku -
Sounds like an anime song. Lots of solo lines, which I still love. This actually starts to sound like a very catchy Onyanko Club song after a little bit.
13. Daisuki -
LOL at the weird guy before the song started. Poor Yuka was all "....wat...". XD The outfits are cute, sorta like a very elaborate, frilly Virgin Love dress. Not entirely sure how I feel about this song. It's very anime-ish, but not in a great way.
14. Rope no Yuujou -
Reminds me of the song after Wasshoi B in B3 that I was never fond of. Outfits are cute.
15. Kayoubi no Yoru Suiyobi no Asa -
I think it may grow on me if I listen to it more. It's just kinda bland.
16. Tooku ni ite mo -
Outfits are pretty much a blue version of Boku no Sakura outfits from B3. Very very slow song, sorta like..a graduation song. It's okay, but too slow for my taste.
All in all, a pretty damn good stage. Jurina wasn't as in-your-face as I thought she would be. And I'm starting to learn the girls names, slowly. I love the energy they have, especially Jurina, who was INSANE till the very end. At least I know there's some hope in SKE48 if AKB48 graduates all my favorites and gets suckier stages.
