Christmas Present, Yay!
Scott bought me a Tamagotchi Connection V3 for Christmas. :)
It's pretty colors and I've been playing with it obsessively. It's like a neopet I can carry around. I love it. :)
I really like virtual pets...I still play creatures 3, not sick of it yet, though I tend to play when Scott is at work or asleep because the sound annoys him greatly.
I like real pets too...mostly, I like things I can take care of, teach, train and play with.
I really want a human-raised baby Congo African Grey parrot. Their intellectual capacity, curious nature, emotional range and adorableness is similar to a four year old human. They are certainly the animal that is most similar mentally to a human that one can legally own.
Which is basically what I want...
Obtaining and caring for a human child involves things I'd prefer not to deal with...
Having a large parasite inside my body for nine months.
Forcing a human head through my cervix.
dealing with another human's feces.
Putting an incalcuable amount of effort into raising a loyal, rational, healthy pet, only to have it turn into a teenager who spends all her time hanging out with a guy called "Snake", eats nothing but beef flavored corn puffs with cheese food product dipping sauce, listens to music mixxed from the sounds of twisting metal, crunching bone and desperate terrified screams of automobile accident victims sampled from real black-box recordings, and insists on following the latest body modification fad, implanting gemstones and gold flecks into the whites of one's eyes.
My cousin just had a baby. Oi.
