So, my sister's boyfriend bought a wii...
I must admit...I hadn't read anything about the wii so all I knew was little snippets of info I heard here and there and it didn't sound that great. I figured there'd be all these issues with response time etc.. But now that I've actually played games on it, I'm a total convert.
Rock Band is definitely the awesomeness simply for being a major multiplayer game that does not involve chasing other people around trying to shoot them. Maybe its because I suck at the Halo thing but I just don't think it's nearly as fun as laser tag, sorry...
There's a microphone? for singing? uh...yeah, no. Pass the drumsticks please. the drums...oh my how I love me some drum playing... guitar is good. bass..not so much
But it's not on the wii and there are cords everywhere...
Guitar Hero is fabulous on the wii since there is no cord for anyone to trip on and you can wander all over the living room without yanking out the cord by mistake. I think my sister bought it only a week and a half ago and I'm already doing halfway decently on the medium difficulty.
Cooking, carnival games, bowling, boxing, tennis, golf....
And games where you can weild a SWORD! That makes me happy.
Plus you can download games. Not tons yet, but I'm sure that'll change. In the meantime, I've downloaded Ocarina of Time so I can play that one again.

EDIT: OMG....DDR is available for the wii and Rock Band is coming out for the wii soon.
Aaaaaiiiiyaaa! If only I had the 1500 or so dollars it would take to buy everything I'd need..
but I'm supposed to be saving for a new car....
