life is a (cardio) party!

wooo 90's party last night! Fun stuff. All the girls were Spice Girls, and we posed for pictures and sang and danced the night away. I was Ginger Spice, which meant I got one more use out of my thigh-high red PVC boots. I was happy to find that they are not too hard to dance in once I warm up. Maybe it was just that I enjoy dancing to the sort of music we were listening to, but I got to dance in what felt like forever. I joked to Joe, Alex, Katie and Heather that I'm only good at dancing 2 or 3 times a year, and so I probably only have one left in me at this point.

we also had a goth party a few weeks ago, and that was even more fun because I got pretty drunk pretty fast. I kinda forgot to eat before going to that party, so I was super lightweight. Everybody's outfits were so different and cute! And we got really drunk. haha.

I started working at Chick-Fil-A a few weeks ago and just opened my first paycheck. It's not a whole lot at all, and I don't get enough hours to really make any money. It is a token amount. But I like the people that I work with, so it's not as terrible as it could be, considering I'm working in the fast food industry. We even had a company picnic at a lake last Sunday, and that was a blast. I was so tired from playing volleyball and softball, and going swimming in the lake that I passed out for like 4-5 hours when I got home from that. Hopefully I'll be able to get myself to come in to work even after school starts...I don't want to just ditch them since the condition on which I was hired was that I would stick around for the fall. =/ I'll have to cross that bridge when I come to it, I guess.

I have been working out pretty consistently for the last 2 weeks with some workout DVDs. I started out with Hip Hop Abs, but on Thursday I tried out a set done by the same company, called Turbo Jam, and that one is much more intense. I am still sore from that. I think I will try mixing the two together so that I don't completely wreck myself, but don't slack off either. I haven't noticed any pounds coming off on the scale yet, but I had a really flat tummy for the party last night (really needed one for that outfit I wore, jeez!) so I do have that to feel good about! Hopefully I will start seeing some more positive changes too. I am working really hard ;_; I had better get what I want this time.

I was invited to play percussion for High School Musical, which starts next weekend. joy of joys. I say that I hate High School Musical now, but I won't even surprise myself if by the end of the month I'm singing the songs day and night. It happens every time I do a show. =/ I just end up really liking whatever I play.

Other than the occasional party or outing with friends, and going to work for about 12 hours a week, working out in front of the tv, playing Twilight Princess, and communing with the Internet until the wee hours of the morning, there hasn't been too much going on with me. OH! Yes. I almost forgot! Now that I am drinking more water than I ever have in my life every day, I don't really seem to have headaches anymore. For anyone who has gotten particularly close to me, this is incredible news. Of course, now I'm sore all the time in different muscle groups, but at least I know that's a productive pain.
