First off I am posting using my EEE PC which i do use a great deal of time at home also. I have refrained from using my desktop computer as it is connected to a 37 1080p monitor (so both on = about 800 watts of power use)... Well it seems that a month without using it has lowered our power usage by almost 80 kilowatt hours! My Toshiba dual core laptop only uses 65 watts peak, thats when it is on and charging the battery at the same time, about 35 when in peak usage with no charging..

As or gaming I mainly use a DS and a WII which the wii uses less than 150 watts with my tv... The ds cant use more than 2 watts ! As for cooking, I am keeping to take out and microwave use or summer.

So I did some so called retail therapy ^^. I bought a 16 GB Sony mp3 player which has the same audio chip as my last one but 16gb vs 2 gb ! The battery life is about 38 hours from what i have tested so far and the lcd is magnificent. As for sound quality even though it has the same audio chip, it sounds cleaner as the pcb design has changed a bit. Also it gets a bit louder, but in all it still has the classic Sony sound stage whcih sound great even on my Sennheiser HD-650's !!! Though i still need a headphone amp at work and home to fully enjoy the 650's.

So I ended up picking up a cobalt blue DS since I have wanted one since being disappointed at white. It is more fashionable ^^ plus the plastic used it more scratch resistant. Also ended up picking up professor layton after borrowing it, it is fun!

As gaming goes, for the most part I have been playing the world ends, my bravery has made it to the point that neku is wearing skirts and dresses at the momrnt, it such a hot concept and all ^^!

OOOOH I have a new sun Sparc workstation being sent from a friend that owed me ^^, I am going to learn how the Sparc architecture works !!!
