Just got home from my first singing lesson.
It was amazing =DDD. I really like my teacher; I think she has a fantastic voice. She's funny, too - she was incredibly surprised when I told her that I like classical music and opera.
You know, I never realized before how loud opera singer's voice are! I knew to some degree that they had to be quite loud, but I only fully realized it when she was right next to me and my ears were ringing XD.
Anyway, she said I'm a soprano. :DDD.
It's amazing how much of an effect breathing has on singing! Seriously! It'd be fun to research that for a science experiment :). Before I could barely squeak out A6, and after she taught me how to breathe, we were doing excercises and I managed to hit Eb6 :D~!
The funniest thing was when she was talking about what I might sing, and she was trying to think of a Broadway show, and chose Phantom. Ironic! XD
Okay, moving on, I found this video a while ago, and the comments surprised me. It's Anna Netrebko singing Addio Del Passato. Could you guys tell me what you think of it?
