Oscar Ceremony Reflection

Mar 09, 2010 05:47

I'm still watching the Oscars on my DVR.  The part about John Hughes with the movie montage and the partial brat pack (plus Culkin) almost made me cry.  It reminded me how much those movies shaped my teenage years and early twenties.  Because I was around the same age as all those teenager movies he made they really had an effect and influence on me.  I still remember how I felt the first time I saw "the Breakfast Club," and I was gobsmacked how much it reflected  my highschool life.

And Anthony Michael Hall wins the award for the most changed - Wow!  He out "manned" Judd Nelson.

Poor Macauley Culkin - he hasn't changed at all (and it's been 20 years for him).

commentary, entertain
