January Continues to be the Month of Death!!
I said before that January is now the month of death... and as if to further prove my assertion, my grandfather died last night. He died of pneumonia complications. Besides the shock of the death itself, it was quite shocking to see him yesterday when my sister and I went in together to see him. He was not the same man he was days ago.
It's also crazy weird that he died just 24 days after Jeff's grandfather died, and that Jeff's grandfather was admitted to the hospital the same week (within 2 days of each other) as my Grandpa first was admitted, also for pneumonia (though pneumonia wasn't actually the cause of death for Jeff's grandfather; and my Grandpa made it out of the hospital for a couple of weeks before his downturn).
To top it off Araby's having cancer in her lungs makes a trifecta of lung issues and death this month (though I dare say that with 2 more days left, I think I can safely say Araby will make it to February).
What is up with the lung issues and death surrounding me and Jeff!!!!
I'm glad things like this (deaths, births, etc) happen in three's usually... because if it weren't for that I'd tell all my friends to head for the hills and run away from me for a while.
