And now for something completely different -- WRITING!

Mr. Black,

You implied that these books were to be written in, yet I've seen hardly a word ever since receiving it. Did you neglect to mention how it is we're to speak into a book, or am I correct in understanding from all of the confused voices that this is not, in fact, a common occurrence ( Read more... )

What? I'm still trying to cope with the fact that whatever I write is not private.

Void, can't we just talk in person? It's irritating to think that whatever I write to you is to be seen by others.

And I don't think we can speak into a book... there doesn't seem to be a recording device. Well, we could speak into a book, but that would just result in talking to ourselves.

I was merely testing this book's capabilities, Ice. Anything else we can speak about in person.

Are you going to write in this often?

That depends.

It does appear quite useful for if we're apart and need to reach each other at the expense of privacy.

Then... I'll use it too.

[She suddenly had an urge to ask.]

You're... not going to just abruptly leave me, right?

[She looks up from the book]

Now why would you think such a thing?

[Except the idea gives her badpings too]

[She looks away, pouting slightly.]

I... don't know. I just had the urge to ask.

Nevermind. Just forget I asked.

[Looking at Void, she doesn't even try to put on a smile. That just seemed like a pointless thing to do since her thoughts still lingered on why she suddenly felt the necessity to ask something like that.]

Yeah?

[She exudes a confidence that might be a bit of a facade.]

It's fine - for you to ask me questions like that.

[Seeing as how Void didn't mind, she decided to ask once more.]

Then would you? Would you just leave me like that? Because I know I wouldn't unless you wanted me to or if it was necessary or something like that.

No. I wouldn't.

[She tries to sound reassuring, but in the back of her mind acknowledges there may very well be some situation that would force her to break that promise.]

[She quickly accepts that answer. Optimism just seemed like the better option right now.]

Thanks, Void.

[There's this inner battle within her. Should she hug Void or not? There seemed to be something holding her back in her subconscious, but regardless, she goes up and hugs Void lightly.]
