Yes, yes. Failblog.org is the funniest website I've seen in a long time. And it's a hell of a way to kill time before poker tourneys, especially when I finished work at 7am, and in the interests of it's a nice day, deciding sleep is not a necessary part of my day.
And dang this beer is teh good (Monteiths Original Ale).
In other news............................ummmmmmmmmmm..................it's teh hot already an its only 9:05am. Sposed to be 28C (or 82F for you backward-nation types) today, and I love it. Hot weather is good in the same way that hot chicks are good. Both encourage less clothes*.
Man I hope the neighbours like Deftones. It'd be a shame otherwise, because I'm sure anyone in a 3 block radius can hear them right now. I consider this revenge for all the times my neighbours play *doof doof* at inappropriate hours.
Yay, for Iron Maiden actually coming to little old Christchurch. Boo, for the price it'll probably be (i'm not sure I even want to know....).
OK, time for the nervous pre-tournament slash. Will report on progress shortly.
From here, tournament A is $11 entry, $10K guaranteed prize pool (daily event). Tournament B is the "Sunday 200K", also $11 entry, but a huge prize pool and field. Amounts are US Dollars (because the whole world still licks America's balls really......). Oh, and both are No-Limit Holdem (just like on TV).
OK, so Tounament A has 3033 entries, and top 450 get paid, 1st is a healthy $4397.
And Tournament B has a whopping 23740 entries, top 3581 get paid and first is $23740. Mmmm...moneychips.
Sigh, knocked out of A after a mere 54 minutes, thanks to a complete knobjockey (no, not myself, smartasses).
Made first (hourly) break of the $200K. Have about average stack, despite a couple of setbacks, and seem to have a reasonable table (ie no sharks and a minimum of retards). 40% of the field gone, another 45% to go to the money.....
And 5 mins into second stint, Chris gets caught with his hands in the big cookie jar marked "bluff", and loses all his goddamn chips. Such is life.
Well, I've got 4 days off, so hopefully I'll get the money back.
Laters.

* OK, on reflection, this may be my one profound statement for the year......
