Magically magic
Ridiculously late I know but I've been getting into a new band lately and my TM flailing had dwindled to a halt. But because of recent circumstances, I think I should refocus to NEWS again before my interest in them completely disappears.
Mahou no Melody. I have to admit, the first time I heard this song, I hated it. It didn't sound nice in the promotions and the first recording I heard I hated, a lot. Until that is, I realized that the recording I was listening to was of horrible quality. I gave it another chance and I liked it :D. It's different from their normal fluff songs and though the chorus might sound weird at first listen, I actually like the harmonization and I'm still a little slack jawed at Tegoshi's pitch. With what TM are saying about the album, I'm hoping that they tackle a wider genre with their songs here. However, TM has never disappointed me before and I'm eagerly awaiting the album.

Tegoshi's voice is always so amazingly cool to the ears. Insert insane amount of hearts and emoticons and pledges of devotion.
Reaction regarding the music video.
The concept was good. The whole two worlds thing was interesting however, the magic world confused me a little. Aside from the bit of "magic" at the end, they weren't doing anything but singing (singing = generating magic for Tegomass no flying machine?) . However, engineer TM makes up for it and guys in work suits are hot (someone place them in suits next time).
For their next concert, I'm placing my bets on TM riding some "flying machine" or bird.
I'm loving the Tegoshi/Massu interactions here. The entire time they were like good friends working together in order to build something and in my obsessed mind, it's like Tegomass itself. It was Tegoshi and Massu working hard in order to make something of their duo. Their flying machine looked nothing like normal planes and at the same time, the concept of their duo is nothing like NEWS. They have a different appeal but still they want to make it fly. Just focusing on Tegoshi alone, or Massu alone won't make them fly but when it's the two of them together magic happens. They worked hard together, they failed but they encouraged each other and in the end the "magic" that made them succeed is their "melody" both of theirs. Their voices made them reach where they are now. (here's to my fondness for making theories :P)
Outfits were all kinds of adorable, for once JE gave their artists something that's unique but not completely out of this world. I'm loving Tegoshi's. Not because I love him with all my heart but because the orange one had those fingerless gloves and he looks so cool (and yellow jumpers will never appeal to me, ever). I like their magic outfits equally. Massu pulls off the red, black and white suit incredibly well and the striped pants was completely his style but not over the top. Tegoshi is a little too colorful but I liked the hat. The blue feathers might be too much but it won't be Tegoshi's style without it, especially since he won't be able to put skulls in this costume. But overall, minus the feathered scarf?, I liked Tegoshi's outfit if only because I loved the bow and the coat was pretty cool XD.
I have to put this in but if Massu was my mechanic, my car, had I one, would be the most well checked car in the world. Massu looked professional. Tegoshi like a little kid playing with his Legos :|. If the PV was true, I can too easily imagine them planning it and putting crazy ideas in their machine and afterwards Massu doing the work while Tego cheers him on. Massu won't complain (because he loves Tegoshi) because he knows Tegoshi is highly liable to wreck the thing.
Upset!Tegomass was win! Whoever made them look all broken hearted and sad is a genius. And the whole comforting each other after they crashed, their management must KNOW that we ship them like nothing else and they support it, why else would they try to kill us with the fluff.
2:00 in the PV will never fail to amuse me. But sad!Tegoshi I will always want to hug. Tegoshi is hot when he pouts, makes me feel like a pedo but still hot. (I can't believe Tego's making me feel like a pedophile when he's older than me D:)
Tegoshi was looking and acting girlier than normal and even the friends I forced to watch with me acknowledges it. Because no Mahou reaction post will ever be complete without commenting on the attack of the eyeliner. Tegoshi was all kinds of beautiful, the promos prepared me already but he's always loved. I actually like it and it was part of the PV concept so it was expected. Massu was also wearing more make-up but he was standing next to Tegoshi so it was over-looked.

I caved and am beginning to get into KPOP.
I don't like listening to it but I like watching. I don't care much for the songs but I like watching the dances.
I like FTIsland in it's entirety though. It's more up my line of musical interest. Honestly, before NEWS I wasn't into the whole pop thing. I liked J-Rock and more pop rock in my interests and FTIsland is a lot more in line with my likes. Helps that Lee Hongki sings like nothing else.
FTIsland would be releasing a remake album? Single? Soon. Especially excited.
