I've been slack...
Well the final bits of the project are done. You can view the outcome at http://homepage.mac.com/icewolf and then click on the 'pool/landscape' link. Pick Before/After if you don't care to see the hundreds of documentation photos. I'm really happy with how it turned out overall. I think there are things I would have done differently but in the long run it's all okay, and so very much better than it was before. I feel like the house is actually now a home and feels loved and cared for, instead of neglected and cast aside. Now if we can just paint the rest of it, the wood flooring and... yeah we're getting there. :)
so I've been swimming in the pool. Trying to get in at least 30 minutes to an hour a day of swimming and exercise. But the weather has been such complete shite that it's made it very hard. I have the pool water at about 90°F (30°C) but when the air isn't at least 70°F with the sun out it's like freezing when you get out of the pool. So I'm praying it just gets warmer sooner rather than later. Which normally is the opposite of how I feel living here.
Last wednesday I treated myself and got a pedicure and manicure and had my eyebrows/lip waxed. I feel all clean. It's pretty amazing what a little maintenance can help with. I got my hair cut too, but at a different place than the spa. The spa charges $50. I'm like jeasus h keerist. No way, the place I go to charges $7 and I think that's a jack. ;)
I'm bummed Ohio State lost in the 2nd round of the NCAA Men's Basketball tournament. It's a bit of a bummer. But the good news is they'll be even better next year.
I haven't been online as much lately, but honestly I can't be assed up about it. I mean I miss talking to people, and learning things about the world and what not, but honestly I've been just happy being me lately. Doing the housework which never seems to stop or get done. Playing with Loki, and spending time with Erik when he's not working or doing whatever he's doing.
