I've been trying to find a job lately. I've been trying to find a job because I'm the kind of person who took the movie Waiting too seriously, and quit my current job because it sucks. Unfortunately, even though I've been at it for a while, I haven't heard a thing back from any of the places I'd applied at. So, naturally, I've been playing a lot of video games to deal with that. Namely, World of Warcraft and Dark Cloud 2.
WoW is WoW, I can't really say much about it. My friends and I have been having madcap adventure after madcap adventure, and I've stayed up way too late on multiple occasions, /sleep-ing on top of the mailbox in Bloodhoof Village while waiting for money to buy my big-ass Dodongo mount, helping a guy twenty levels higher run through Uldaman until every piece of armor I owned exploded, singlehandedly causing the extinction of the nagas in Stranglethorn Vale for one single Golden Pearl... well, it's a bit exhausting, but I seem to be adapting to it.
Mountain Dew Game Fuel is strangely compelling. It tastes like the generic 'fruit punch' soda most stores sell, but it's got Master Chef on the front. And it's orange.
Dark Cloud 2 always pissed me off. I keep thinking that it'd be a really great game if it had this and this and this and wasn't such a grind-fest, but I keep playing it anyway. I accidentally erased my old 20+ hour save file, which is fine, since I hate playing other peoples' game-saves (and me circa a few years ago definitely counts as another person.) It's a lot easier to get through when you've already played through a lot of it before, since you're not so compelled to kill every monster in every stage and can cruise to the exit whenever possible.
Other than that, there hasn't been much going on. It seems like I've been lazy, but I've really been trying hard! And staying in a lot. Which kind of sucks.
