QOTD: "The danger is not that a particular class is unfit to govern. Every class is unfit to govern."

Haven't really written anything on here in a while, so I guess I should. I haven't really accomplished much in the last few weeks. Mostly I just have a sense that I've been treading water for a long time and am getting tired. Beyond that there's not much that doesn't belong in a private entry. Funny how we decide which things aren't appropriate for friends or the public. I think usually it's not as big of a deal as we think it is.

The biggest change in my life is I apparently ruined a garbage disposal since apartment maintenance had to replace mine. It wasn't working, but apparently it was beyond repair. I'm having to write my bank because they mishandled my last car loan payment. Again. This is the third time. I send in a check with the regular payment, plus a separate check with (in the purpose block) "PRINCIPLE ONLY" written and a post-it note attached to it reading, "please post separately." They added the two checks together and posted them as one payment and noted that there were two checks. [facepalm] Not the same. Stop stealing my money. I'm almost paid off, dammit. I've got just about the only non-recalled Toyota on the road; I'd like to at least pay it off before I die in it.

On the radio today I heard a piece by a Mississippi composer called, "From the Delta" which sounded like an alternate music score for Hoth from The Empire Strikes Back. Very strange, but it kept me listening.

My mom found me some Namasté gluten-free pizza mix, which is very exciting. If you're planning on being on the Coast any time soon, maybe I'll make one for you. The bag makes two pizzas! Working with gluten-free pizza dough is really a trying endeavor, so I'm going to have to psych myself up for it.

Major work drama today (a non-work day, incidentally enough). I wasn't available to call in to do the work, so they called in three people. I've found that in my family, it's something of an embarrassment/surprise if you have to be replaced at work and it takes less than three people to maintain operations. I won't go into the drama because it'll just make me angry and will make me angry in the future when I read it again. I'll just say that it's nothing that I haven't said repeatedly in the past. I think in the end, they'll fire me for being right too often and pointing out all of their errors - even if I'm offering effective solutions right alongside.

Been kinda bored at home lately.
