QOTD: "Having been unpopular in high school is not just cause for book publications."

Went to bed around 4:30-5:00ish with my alarm set for 6:45. I woke up two minutes before my alarm went off. Got up, ate, showered, went to the LAB and waited for a few minutes since I got there before Mary Jo did. Left my paper in Dr. Tardy's box. His house just had the tarp pulled off it for repairs (for those of you not paying attention, we are still repairing our buildings from Katrina; even an hour inland as we are) and we had lots of rain last night, so he likely won't have been in a good mood when he gets it. Ugh. Mary Jo said her house on the Coast was reduced to rubble by the hurricane and she had no insurance, so that was that. Before I cast any stones, I note that I don't have any proper insurance, either. I should stop buying things and start covering what I've got. I was never very good at strategy games.

After that, I drove across town to the post office as I'd missed the delivery of a package yesterday. Mailed a Christmas gift to my grandfather. Got back to my apartment with just the right amount of time to get changed for work, and got there right on time. Despite my lack of sleep, I had a very good day. Saw a guy with the same physical attributes as Jamie, which was delightful to behold. I mean, really. I don't think I'm developing a thing for redheads, but I adore their skin so much. Looked up my camera at work and found that it had arrived, so I went hunting for it. Jack was looking for some computers and the warehouse was locked, so we ventured together. Found the camera on the warehouse floor. Spotted it from about forty feet. Jack was disturbed by my addressing the boxed camera as "sexy beast." Unfortunately, my memory card didn't arrive today, so the most I can do with the camera is read the manual and charge the battery. I can practice holding it. [laughs at self] Had a LOT of customers looking at the D-SLRs today. At one point I was holding a small lecture about them in front of the display case. I felt useful. The man who took a ridiculous amount of my time and who had the serious memory card problems apparently directly referenced me to his coworker, who bought the same setup. That setup is about $1500. She was looking after a very well-behaved child, too. Was second in the store for volume when I left, but my CA% was low.

Traffic in Hattiesburg is really awful now during rush hour at night.

Found a trial of the oxygenating stuff in the box that my ThreeLac came in. Tried it out this morning. I attribute my functionality to it. Well, I guess I'll play with my camera for a bit. Gotta get by PhotoArts sometime soon and pick up a UV filter. Would be nice to get a bag, too. Don't have much money, I know that. Still have several things to ship. Now that I've gotten this paper out of the way, I'm hoping to get rare and stefanieslaw's packages completed and in the mail by the middle of next week. Things to do, things to do.
