EFFING UPDATES--
--HOW DO THEY WORK?
So after radio silence for a week (I survived, guys!) I'm sorta back. Thank you all SO MUCH for your confidence boosting comments ::hugs flist:: they really gave me the courage I needed. What I was actually afraid of was not the attending classes again, but facing some of the people who inadvertently sent my life spiraling down the drain last year and other people who would know I had been missing but not why. It went fine, and I have met some new people, though I still haven't a full week of classes yet because Thursday was a snow day (fuck yeah). And, unsurprisingly, my mother and I are getting along better now that we're not up each other's butts anymore.
Also, two of my friends started going out over the summer; I just found out on Friday. WHAAAAAT? They are absolutely adorable together, though, and I actively have to keep from squeeing when I see them doing stuff together. I swear, I can see them in 5-10 years still, with kids, hosting giant shabbos parties, doing other Jewish married things... (They're almost like Jon and me at the beginning in terms of adorability. YES, I KNOW. SHUSH.)
I still hate 8am classes.

AAAAAAAND, dark_fest has also opened up prompt claiming, and OMG there are some amazing prompts. No one has claimed any of the Torchwood prompts yet which makes me SADFACE. AM I BEING TOO SUBTLE? However, one of my Hunger Games prompts was claimed, which makes me very happy ::keysmashes:: TELL EVERYONE ABOUT THIS FEST, PLZ.
Lastly, I'm seriously considering doing
purimgifts this year because, um, JEWFEST. Well, maybe not... okay, yeah, it probably boils down to "omg jew-centric fest, WANT." Plus, there's a word maximum which I am totally down with, because lately I fail at writing fic.
ONE MORE WEEK UNTIL NEW GLEE. OMGYAY.
ETA: Finished "Ashera's Curse" last week, and it was AWESOME. Need moar, plzkthx.
