fannish5 today (as of last flist check), SO I HAS A SAD. Have last week's instead.
Pick 5 characters and assign them spirit animals. I used the more liberal interpretation of 'if these characters had dæmons (a la Phillip Pullman's HDM universe), what would they be?'
1. Brittany (Glee) - Unicorn
First one that came to mind. You honestly have to know Brittany's character to get it, but if there's anyone that would ever have a unicorn spirit animal, it's her.
2. Ianto Jones (TW) - Husky
The first animal that comes to mind when I think Ianto, is a dog. Because one quality that Ianto Jones personifies is loyalty. (Which, tangentially, is what I think the main quality of Hufflepuffs is. Not "the leftovers" but the ones that value loyalty and kindness above all else. Ahem, moving on...) And not just any dog; huskies are used as sled dogs, which means they are used to harsh conditions and need endurance. Also, they look like wolves, not poodles, so even though they might have "pet" qualities, they are badass. Like Ianto.
3. Saito (Inception) - Lioness
My first thought was actually lion, king of the MF jungle, but I did some research (because that's my thing) and of course the lionesses are the hunters*** and in the animal kingdom, it's the male that has to impress the female, not the other way around. Saito is a type of character not afraid to get his hands dirty (hunt) but he has to be impressed by others, not the other way around.
4. Fuji Syusuke (PoT) - Fox
He's sly and a sensual creature, but he's not a snake, that's Kaidoh (manga joke, ignore), but he's also very cunning. Go with it.
5. Daniel Faraday (Lost) - Dolphin
Dolphins are an animal that always appear to be smiling, are very friendly, and I've been to a seminar that showed how dolphins are so far one of the few (only? It's been a few years, so my memory is fuzzy) animals that understand the concept of mirrors. As in, that they are looking at a reflection of themselves, not another animal that looks and acts like them. Daniel Faraday is a genius IMO, and dolphins are one of the most intelligent animals.

season 6 House (House MD)
In other news, USA network is showing House repeats and they're in the middle of season 3. So I haven't watched s3 since last year on my DVDs, but I've got it on in the background and I'm freaking out because the guy who plays Tritter is so familiar. And it's not just oh, Tritter's actor, I've seen him before (in Disturbia, btw) he looks really familiar. At first I think, maybe it's just because he looks like one of the older people in my community, but then it hits me. Tritter (David Morse) looks like JOHN SIMM. His white hair is what threw me, because that makes him look more like EoT Master, but in general, he looks more like the clean-shaven s3 Master.
IF YOU SQUINT. IDK.
***At this point I realized that I forgot about the string beans I was cooking and proceeded to freak out. So if the tone suddenly changes, yeah, that's why. (They're overcooked. FUCK.)
